Willkommen bei den Limmat Sharks, Trainer András
Lernt unseren neuen Trainer kennen 🦈💪
Mein Name ist András Gyenes, und ich bin 58 Jahre alt. Ich wurde in Budapest, Ungarn, geboren. Seit 36 Jahren bin ich Schwimmtrainer; davor war ich selbst Schwimmer.
Ich habe an den nationalen Meisterschaften mehrere Medaillen gewonnen, darunter eine Goldmedaille über 200 Meter Brust. Nach meiner Wettkampfkarriere habe ich mein Studium an der Universität für Leibeserziehung in Ungarn abgeschlossen und dort bis 2009 als Trainer gearbeitet. Meine Schwimmer haben bei den EYOF und den Junioren-Europameisterschaften mehrere Medaillen in den Disziplinen Schmetterling, Rücken und Brust gewonnen – darunter drei Goldmedaillen.
Seit 2009 arbeite ich in der Schweiz: zwei Jahre in Bülach, fünf Jahre in Chur und zehn Jahre in Uster. Zu den Schwimmern, mit denen ich gearbeitet habe – und die Sie auch kennen –, gehören Vanna Djakovic und Gian-Luca Gartmann. Sie konnten sie an den Europameisterschaften in Paris im Wettkampf erleben.

We are incredibly grateful and fortunate to have access to such a wonderful gym facility.
With the recent success at the 2026 Nachwuchs Schweizermeisterschaften in Basel, we are seeing the direct benefits of having this opportunity available to our swimmers. The gym has become an important part of our athlete development pathway—allowing our athletes to learn proper movement, develop strength, build confidence, and understand what it means to train in a weight room.
While elite swimmers often have access to strength facilities, it is much less common for younger generations to receive the same opportunities. Providing this access early allows us to build better foundations and support the long-term development of our swimmers.
A huge thank you to @sportamtkantonzuerich @crossequip and @sportort_ch for supporting our club and our athletes. This investment in youth development is making a real difference. 🦈

München, wir sind bereit!
Unsere Limmat Sharks vertreten diese Woche die Schweiz bei den Junioren-Europameisterschaften in München. 💙🦈
Wir sind unglaublich stolz auf Leona, Mirjam, Filip, Juri, Yara, Alexander, Sven und Trainer Oleg. Eure harte Arbeit, euer Engagement und eure Leidenschaft haben euch auf diese internationale Bühne gebracht.
Ein riesiges Dankeschön an alle Trainer, Familien, Teamkollegen und Fans, die dazu beigetragen haben, diese Reise möglich zu machen. Gemeinsam machen wir Momente wie diese möglich.
