Erfolgreicher Wettkampf in Uster 💪🏼
Nach einem sehr erfolgreichen VM-Finale war auch der Christmas-Cup in Uster ein voller Erfolg für die Limmat Sharks. Mit insgesamt 97 Medaillen (44 Gold 🥇, 31 Silber 🥈 und 22 Bronze 🥉) sicherte sich der Verein den 1. Platz in der Vereinswertung 🏆
Neben zahlreichen persönlichen Bestzeiten sorgten die Athletinnen und Athleten für Highlights auf nationaler Ebene, darunter beeindruckende Alltime-Jahrgangsschweizerrekorde:
🦈 Ivan Tolpanov stellte gleich 6 Rekorde bei den 12-Jährigen auf über 50, 100 und 400 Freistil, 200 Lagen, 100 Rücken und 100 Schmetterling.
🦈 Colin Umegbolu schwamm einen Rekord bei den 12-Jährigen über 100 Brust.
🦈 Juline Helfer erreichte einen Rekord bei den 12-Jährigen über 50 Schmetterling.
🦈 Juri Wunderlin stellte bei den 16-Jährigen einen Rekord über 50 Freistil auf.
Die Limmat Sharks unterstreichen damit erneut ihre Spitzenposition im Schweizer Nachwuchs-Schwimmsport 💙 Glückwunsch!

Erfolgreicher Wettkampf in Uster 💪🏼

Successful youngsters at Swiss Short Course Nationals! With the absence of our two standouts @lisa_mamie (focusing on competitions ahead) and @juliaa.ullmann (settling in at ASU), the stage was free for our younger swimmers to shine at Swiss Nationals.
On the men’s side, @julio_bernardon broke the club and 🇨🇭 age group record in the 1500m (and 800m) free, winning gold 🥇 He added silver in the 400m free and bronze in the 200m back to complete a full set of medals. Noah Retzler swam two club records in the 50m free and 50m fly, while winning 🥉 bronze in the 100m back 🙌🏼 Our relays showed very strong performances with new club records in the 4x 50m free and 4x 50m medley with a third-place finish in both 💙Additional 🇨🇭 age group records came from @juriwunderlin in the 50m free (22.61) and 50m breast (28.48) and @maximwunderlin in the 50m breast (27.75). Congrats on this amazing achievement, boys 💪🏼
On the women’s side, @leona_swim won her first individual medal on elite level with a 🥉 bronze medal in the 50m fly 😍 In addition, Leona added many final performances, PBs and 🇨🇭 age group records (50m free, 100m free and 50m fly) to her tally! The relays finished 5th and 6th, respectively with a very young and promising team for the years ahead 💙 Keep up the amazing work, ladies!

Super Leistungen unsere Sharks an den RZO-Meisterschaften in Uster vom vergangenen Wochenende 💪🏼 Mit insgesamt 52 Medaillen landen wir im Medaillenspiegel auf Platz 2 🥈 Nebst der hervorragenden Stimmung konnten unsere Sharks viele persönliche Bestzeiten schwimmen und den Wettkampf als Einstieg in die bevorstehenden Höhepunkte nutzen 🦈 Merci @rzoaquatics und @sc_uster für die Organisation.

Die Olympischen Spiele von 2024 in Paris sind für @lisa_mamie Geschichte. Über 100m Brust konnte Lisa einen soliden Vorlauf zeigen und landete in 1:07.65 auf dem 23. Schlussrang 👏🏻 Nach einem sehr beherzten Vorlauf über die 200m Brust fehlten lediglich 11/100 für den Halbfinaleinzug. Lisa hat bis zum letzten Meter alles gegeben und der 17. Schlussrang ist in einem starken Teilnehmerfeld eine sehr gute Leistung 💙

After breaking 1-minute for the first time in prelims, Ivan Tolpanov went on to win the 100 free in 58.64 ahead of Christian Li (58.86) 🔥 Matteo Baumann won the 14-year old final in yet another huge PB of 56.97 👏🏻 And @f.markovic18 delivered a stunning 50.83 in the youth final, 2nd all-time 🇨🇭 for 16-year old 💙 Ivan went on to collect 🥈 in the 400 free and 100 fly, Filip 🥇 in the latter event with @aki.richi joining him on the podium as 3rd.
Juline Helfer and @martina_arganese collected 🥉 in the 200 fly, both with new PBs. Colin Umegbolu and Flurin Feld won bronze and silver in the 100 breast, followed by 🥇 from @juriwunderlin in the youth category 🙌🏼 Juri went on to win the 200 breast in an astonshing 8-second PB drop 😮💙 @simon_kelly_.2 followed closely behind in 2:23.74.

Our ladies rocked the 200 IM, where Momoco Reichenstein won in 2:36.60, @anna.bernardon won 🥈 in the same event! In the 100 back, @mirjamclemenz won 🥉 Chiara Trepte also added a bronze medal in the 200 free to her collection 🫶🏼 Momoco had a huge PB drop to win 🥇 in the 400 IM with a 5:32.29.
Lastly, the Sharks girls won the 4x 100 free relay (Chiara, Leona, Mirjam, Annika) 🔥 The boys won the 4x 200 and on Sunday, two teams found themselves on the podium 💙🦈

Our Sharks have delivered some stunning results so far, leading the medal table by a huge margin (16x 🥇, 9x 🥈, 9x 🥉). Many noteworthy results, but here just a few:
We won gold in all relays (4x 100 medley girls, 4x 100 free boys, and 4x 200 free girls) 💙 Great team effort!
Mirjam Clemenz leads of the medley relay with an amazing PB and national squad cut for next year with a 1:05.67 👏🏻
Simon Kelly gets under the national team standard in the 400IM with a huge PB of 4:43.36 and collects Bronze 🫶🏼
Juri Wunderlin wins the 50 free splash and dash with a new PB and national team cut (23.70), followed by Filip (also new PB of 23.78 and confirming the Swiss team cut) 💙💪🏼
Ivan Tolpanov and Colin Umegbolu had a very busy first day (Future and 12 and under) and finish first and second in Futura with many great PBs 🥳👏🏻 Ivan claimed 🥇 in the 200IM with a new 🇨🇭 age group record!
Leona Papp and Chiara Trepte swam PBs in the 100 free, finishing 3rd and 5th, cracking 59s and 1min for the first time 😍 Both missed the national team cut by a very narrow margin, but more chances are waiting ⏰
Akira Reichenstein wins 🥇 with a huge 200 fly PB of 2:07.94, just missing the national squad standard. What a race 👏🏻
Aurelia Wüst (2013) delivers new 🇨🇭 age group record in the 100 breast in 1:20.51 and 50 free (29.77) 💙🦈
Momoco Reichenstein wins two golds in the 100 (1:16.59) and 200 breast (2:44.67) with outstanding PBs 🙌🏼
Anna Bernardon wins 🥇 in the 200 breast, while Lucia Spagnol already has a 🥈 and 🥉 after great swims in the 100 free and 100 fly.
On the boys‘ side, Christian Li has collected 2x🥇 medals in the 200 free and 400 IM with new PBs and 2x🥉in the 800 free and 200 IM. Matteo Baumann (🥈 in 200 fly), Yuuki Yotsumoto (🥉 in 400 IM), and Levi Wunderlin (🥈 in 200 free and 800 free) won their first medals!

Halftime at NSM in Basel ⏳
Our Sharks have delivered some stunning results so far, leading the medal table by a huge margin (16x 🥇, 9x 🥈, 9x 🥉). Many noteworthy results, but here just a few:
We won gold in all relays (4x 100 medley girls, 4x 100 free boys, and 4x 200 free girls) 💙 Great team effort!
Mirjam Clemenz leads of the medley relay with an amazing PB and national squad cut for next year with a 1:05.67 👏🏻
Simon Kelly gets under the national team standard in the 400IM with a huge PB of 4:43.36 and collects Bronze 🫶🏼
Juri Wunderlin wins the 50 free splash and dash with a new PB and national team cut (23.70), followed by Filip (also new PB of 23.78 and confirming the Swiss team cut) 💙💪🏼
Ivan Tolpanov and Colin Umegbolu had a very busy first day (Future and 12 and under) and finish first and second in Futura with many great PBs 🥳👏🏻 Ivan claimed 🥇 in the 200IM with a new 🇨🇭 age group record!
Leona Papp and Chiara Trepte swam PBs in the 100 free, finishing 3rd and 5th, cracking 59s and 1min for the first time 😍 Both missed the national team cut by a very narrow margin, but more chances are waiting ⏰
Akira Reichenstein wins 🥇 with a huge 200 fly PB of 2:07.94, just missing the national squad standard. What a race 👏🏻
Aurelia Wüst (2013) delivers new 🇨🇭 age group record in the 100 breast in 1:20.51 and 50 free (29.77) 💙🦈
Momoco Reichenstein wins two golds in the 100 (1:16.59) and 200 breast (2:44.67) with outstanding PBs 🙌🏼
Anna Bernardon wins 🥇 in the 200 breast, while Lucia Spagnol already has a 🥈 and 🥉 after great swims in the 100 free and 100 fly.
On the boys‘ side, Christian Li has collected 2x🥇 medals in the 200 free and 400 IM with new PBs and 2x🥉in the 800 free and 200 IM. Matteo Baumann (🥈 in 200 fly), Yuuki Yotsumoto (🥉 in 400 IM), and Levi Wunderlin (🥈 in 200 free and 800 free) won their first medals!

We are thrilled to announce that we have intensified our partnership with @sportort_ch 🤝🏼 This collaboration aims to provide our Youth, Junior, and Elite team members with top-notch athletic and conditioning training to complement their in-pool efforts 💪🏼
Under the expert guidance of the entire team and our dedicated dryland coach @catebarlo, who has already been working with us for several weeks, swimmers will be able to enhance performance through targeted strength and conditioning exercises 🏋🏼♀️ Making sure to commit to flawless technical execution, support with rehab/injuries, and include preventive measures in daily training routines 🏊🏼♀️ Both at the pool and @sportort_ch facilities 🚀
@catebarlo holds an Msc Spitzensport, educations in Crossfit and functional training, and has been an elite athlete herself in gymnastics 🤸♀️
